The University of Agriculture Sciences organized Krishi Mela 2019 from 24th to 27th October at the Gandhi Krishi Vignana Kendra (GKVK) campus, Hebbal.
There were about 700 stalls focussing on various aspects of farming and agriculture including demonstrations of cropping patterns suitable for dryland agriculture, rainwater and terrace water harvesting, sales of seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and books.
Prof Rajendra Prasad, the Vice-Chancellor of the university said at a press conference that the mela had organised to introduce new technologies and innovations to the farmers which will help increase their productivity.
shared a stall with Kamal Kisan in the Agriculture Implements and Equipment pavillion where we displayed our intercrop weeder, and our tiller/power weeder, along with some of Kamal Kisan’s equipment. We were pleased to introduce our products to the farmers, shared our knowledge about the technology used in making the machines. We look forward to see our #PubertFamily grow.
